the year that was

Being asked to open an awards show stream with a bang is a daunting task. What’s even more daunting is having to summarise an entire year in just under twenty minutes while you’re at it, with irreverent humour, skits, special guests from all over the games industry, and dashes of genuine pathos.

Fortunately, that’s just the sort of thing we’re known for. Hence, er, why Future called us in the first place. The entire show was scripted, shot, and cut together by us over a breakneck three-week period in time to open the Golden Joystick Awards stream in November 2019.
